Dr. Pawan Gupta is a distinguished Surgical Oncologist in India, currently serving as the Director of Surgical Oncology (Head & Neck) at Max Super Speciality Hospital. Renowned for his clinical expertise and compassionate care, Dr. Gupta has made significant contributions in the fields of Head & Neck Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and cancer rehabilitation.
With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Gupta has held several key leadership positions at prominent healthcare institutions. Prior to joining Max Healthcare, he served as the Additional Director of Surgical Oncology at Jaypee Hospital, Noida (2013–2018). His previous roles include Head of Department and Senior Consultant at Asian Hospital, Faridabad (2010–2013), Senior Consultant at SMH Curie Cancer Center, Delhi (2008–2010), and Dharamshila Cancer Hospital, Delhi (2002–2008).
Dr. Gupta completed his MBBS and MS in Surgery from Sriram Chandra Bhanj (SCB) Medical College & Hospital, Cuttack.
An active contributor to the oncology community, he currently serves as the National President of the I CAN WIN Foundation and the Indian Cancer Winners’ Association. He is also a Life Member of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) and the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO).
Dr. Gupta’s dedication and leadership have been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the ICD Appreciation Award by Dr. Donald E. Johnson, ICD International President, USA (2008), the Swami Vivekanand and Sister Margaret Award (2017), and the Delhi NGO Leadership Award (2017).
